The Jimoh Ibrahim's faction of the PDP in the state has reacted to comments credited to a chieftain of Markafi-led faction of the PDP in the state Saka Lawal,a former Special Adviser to Governor Mimiko and runner-up in the Makarfi-led Peoples Democratic Party, PDP governorship primary election in Ondo state, who said the candidate of the Sheriff-led PDP, Barrister Jimoh Ibrahim will soon be settled to give room for Mr. Eyitayo Jegede, SAN as the party’s valid candidate in the November 26 governorship poll in the state.

Lawal made this known while addressing party supporters at a function over the weekend.

He said: “Don’t be carried away by what you have been reading on the pages of the newspaper, we understand better.

“The person we are dealing with is a businessman, at the appropriate time, we will settle him.”

But reacting to the statement, the Sheriff-led PDP described Lawal as a politician who sees politics as a trade, thereby thinking everybody are like him.

According to Mr Yemi Akintomide, Director of Media and Publicity of the faction in an interview with Newsnaijaonline, Ibrahim has the mandate of the PDP members in the state and that’s what he is pursuing.

He said: ” It is laughable, Barrister Jimoh Ibrahim can’t be settled. He has the mandate of the PDP members and that’s what he is pursuing. I don’t think a man can go to this length and now be settled.

“The man called Saka Lawal has always been settled. He left Mimiko then in Labour Party and became a deputy governorship candidate in PDP after being settled.

“He was again settled by Mimiko to contest as a stooge aspirant of an illegal primary election with over N200 million.

“Since that is his own trade, he thinks everybody is like him that can be bought cheaply”,he said.
