ONDO APC APPOINTMENT: THE QUEST FOR PASTOR RAWA FELIX INCLUSION INTO CABINET

 

In recent times, intense jostling has begun among prospective aspirants of Ondo State origin lobbying for the highly exalted positions of Commissioner in the proposed cabinet of the newly-elected APC government in Ondo State.

Investigations carried out by the naijanewsonline revealed that top politicians were in top contention for the cabinet job.

Sources said the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has zoned the position of the Chairman of the Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission(OSOPADEC) to Ilaje Local Government Area of the state.

Prominent among those jostling for the OSOPADEC  Chairmanship  slot in Ondo State are; Pastor Rawa Felix, a former House of Representatives candidate of the defunct ACN in Ilaje/Ese-odo federal constituency and contender in the 2012 governorship election, Hon. Benson Enikuomehin, a former member of the NDDC board, Mr. Ajose Kudehinbu, a former Head of Service in Ondo State, Hon. Omotehise, Prince Adewale Omojuwa, a former OSOPADEC Chairman. Among those prominent aspirants from the area, there is a man who stands tall having considered his credentials and impact on the people of Ilaje community and Ondo state at large, he is no other person than Pastor (Hon) Rawa Felix.

 
His name has continued to spread like a fire in the harmattan as the best man for the OSOPADEC  job since the search for the vacant position began. He has been part of the struggle for the emancipation of the Niger Delta people and the Ilaje nation through his visionary leadership at the Niger Delta Oil producing Association.

Rawa Felix as a vast and highly experienced leader from Ilaje nation of Ondo State immensely contributed to the development of the people through his numerous programmes initiated to cushion effect of the abject poverty which has left the people shattered and tattered.

A well read politician who had through hardwork acquired knowledge and skills from  various institutions both in Nigeria and abroad. Rawa has masters degree in Logistics (Department of Transport Management) from Ladoke Akintola University, Degree in Maritime Law at the Lagos State University, PGD in Shipping/Port Management in Maritime Transport at the Chartered Institute of Shipping by Academic Advisory Board (AAB) of the Maritime University, U.S.A,. in his quest for more knowledge in Security Services, he advanced to University of Lagos, Akoka for his Advanced Diploma in Security Management.

Rawa also has to his credit a certificate of achievement awarded to him by Vision 2020 business group.com both in the U.K. and the U.S.A, in recognition of his indepth knowledge in the maritime industry.

Apart from his intimidating academic credentials, Rawa Felix has continuously established his name as a strong symbol of positive change in leadership positions he had held and a representation of justice and equality

According to our impeccable source, the people of Ilaje in Ondo State have thrown their support for the appointment of Rawa Felix due to his closeness to his people, prompt response to their plights and display of sterling leadership qualities at different capacities as a spiritual father and a politician.

The sources further said among all the politicians jostling for the position of the OSOPADEC, Rawa Felix was the most qualified having been  a part of the struggle for the emancipation of his people and made contributions to the development of the area without being in government.

In the face of a long-dark tunnel, Rawa Felix has bought light through the instrumentality of his annual scholarship and bursary award to indigent students and the southern part of Ondo State in general, empowerment of youths in order to curb the youth restiveness in the region, creation of permanent and casual jobs, provision of revolving loans to women with zero digit interest and up till date payment of salaries to Chiefs and Baales in over 50 communities in Ilaje local government.

Investigations revealed that the party leadership in the local government commended Pastor Rawa Felix for his kind gesture and huge support to the APC and its candidates. The Chairman of the APC, Hon. Olumide Ikuepenikan was also said to have complimented the efforts of Rawa and other opposition members to the APC in Ilaje who wooed prominent opposition members to the APC before the elections. Ikuepanikan’s political sagacity has also boosted the chances of the party in winning the governorship elections  as demonstrated during the last presidential and house of Assembly elections in the area.
